Some causes of cat drool are more than just dental problems. If your cat drools continuously when you are petting them and they do not show any interest, If the cat is constantly drooling and there is blood in the saliva, the cat may have damaged the oropharynx. It could be since the cat has swallowed items that are harmful to the cat’s body. This is rarely the case, but it’s worth considering when your cat begins to drool excessively. It proves that the cat may have swallowed a foreign object such as a piece of fishbone, a bottle cap, or other smaller objects, which causes this object to get stuck in the esophagus, causing discomfort to the cat, so the cat often drools and constantly scratches its mouth and start vomit to expel the object

Some of you will mistake cats to be happy to be petted, but if your cat is constantly drooling when you give them the first dose for the first time, it could also be a sign that they are not comfortable when they are taking medicines.

2.8 Scared cat and cat drool

Some cats when you cuddle them can be excited to the point of drooling but not only that, some fear or anxiety, or sadness is also the cause of this problem. Nausea and fear also lead to drooling. Unlike a dog that gets excited when taken outside, the cat will experience fear of riding or motion sickness that leads to drooling in cats, cats will still feel insecure and anxious to constantly drool when you are stroking them. So in this case, the cat will probably stop drooling when it feels the fear has passed
